YOGASANAS & ITS BENEFITS
1. TADASAN
(MOUNTAIN POSTURE) :
Due to equal
distribution of weight on the legs one will feel lightness of body
and the mind acquires serenity due to uniform flow of Prana.
2.
TRIKONASANA (THREE ANGLE POSE):
Tones spinal
nerves and abdominal organs.
3. SURYA
NAMASKAR (SALUTING THE SUN):
Reduces
abdominal fat, brings flexibility to the spine and limbs, increases
breathing capacity.
4.
SAVASANA:
Savasana
combines pose and meditation. It gives rest not only for the body
but also for the mind and soul. It gives relief, comfort and ease.
Relaxation is a very important factor in muscular exercises.
5.
SARVANGASANA (ALL MEMBERS POSE):
Massages
thyroid glands, which operates in conjunction with other ductless
gland, viz. pituitary, pineal in the brain and suprarenal above the
kidneys, proper functioning of circulatory, respiratory, alimentary,
genito-urinary and nervous system depends upon healthy thyroid.

MATSYASANA (FISH POSE):
Removes
constipation, useful for asthma, consumption, chronic bronchitis
7.
HALASANA ( PLOUGH POSE):
Tones spinal nerves back muscles, vertebral bones,
sympathetic nervous system running along vertebral column.
8.
PASCHIMOTTANASANA (HEAD KNEE POSE):
Reduces fat in abdomen, stimulates kidneys, liver, pancreas
and relieves constipation.
9.
BHUJANGASANA (COBRA POSE):
Relieves
hunch/back pain, lumbago, myalgia of the back
10.
SHALABHASANA (LOCUST POSE):
Tones
muscles of the abdomen, thighs and legs Digestive fire is increased
and removes dyspepsia.
11.
DHANURASANA (BOW POSE):
Removes
chronic constipation, rheumatism knee joints and hands and gastro
intestinal disease.
12.
CHAKRASANA (WHEEL POSE):
Same as Bhujanga, Shalabha and Dhanurasanas.
13.
ARDHAMATSYENDRASANA-LEFT & RIGHT (LATERAL SPINAL TWIST)
Keeps the spine elastic, massages abdominal organs,
rheumatism of the back.
14. YOGA
MUDRA
Removes all disorders in the abdomen.
15.
VAJRASANA (ADMANTINE POSE)
Nerves and
muscles of legs and thighs are strengthened. Stimulate digestion.
16.
SHIRSHASANA (TOPSY/TURVY):
The
entire nervous system is nourished and toned due to abundant blood
circulation. The pituitary and pineal glands in the brain get proper
blood supply and this ensures promotion of our good health, growth
and vitality.
PRANAYAMA:
SUKH PURVAK
Deepens
breathing, automatically circulatory system toned and harmonizes
nervous system.
