What is Naturopathy? Has it any Philosophy?
Naturopathy is a system of treatment which streamlines the body’s
inherent power to regain health with the aid of five element of body
– Earth, Water, Air, Fir and Ether. Accumulation of morbid matters
(Toxins), abnormal exposition of blood and lymph and lowered
vitality are the three principles of Naturopathy.

What are
the methods of treatment in Naturopathy?
Naturopathy believes that human body possesses the power to heal
itself by restoring balance in structure and function. The human
body has five components – Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Ether, and
treatment is also through these elements. Mud therapy, Chromo
therapy, Hydrotherapy, various types of baths, scientific massages,
Fasting, Dieting & Nutrition, Yoga and meditations are the methods
of treatment. Electrotherapy, Physiotherapy, Acupressure and
Acupuncture are also considered as part of Naturopathy. Many feel
that Homeopathy and Ayurveda system of medicine are also part of
Naturopathy because the medicines are made from natural products.
The foremost role in nature care is played by Diet.

Is
Naturopathy a complete system of medicine?
No system of medicine or healing is complete but Naturopathy
provides us simple means of healing. It offers the society more
economical frame work for the medicine of future generations.
Naturopathy believes that the patient is treated and not the
diseases. It is a drugless therapy and does not use medicine. It is
a way of life and hence it can be said to be more preventive than
curative.

Is Naturopathy a recognized system of
medicine in
India?
Yes, it is a recognized system of treatment in India. Government of
India has already setup Central Council for Research in Yoga and
Naturopathy & National institute of
Naturopathy in Pune. However, there is no law to regulate the qualifications and
registration of practitioner etc. Therefore, person having knowledge
and experience can practice in this field.

Where can I learn Naturopathy in
India?
There are various universities, colleges and Private Institutions in
India imparting certificate, Diploma and Degree courses. Bhavnagar
University and Gujarat Ayurvedic University also conduct diploma
courses. All India Nature Care Federation, New Delhi also conducts
three years diploma course. The All India Nature Care Federation
organizes nature cure conferences from time to time and engaged in
propagation of Naturopathy in India.

reinforcement of the Naturopathic treatment?
Yes, Ministry of Health, Government of India has recognized Bapu Nature Care Hospital, Patparganj
and Krishna Dutt health center for CGHS beneficiaries. The expenses
in treatment are reimbursable at approved rates.

No, since it does not use medicine, it has no side effect but in
certain physical conditions, the treatment should always be under a
